John B. Mayse
President, CEO

John Mayse has been described as intense, driven, brilliant, and a visionary, a serial entrepreneur with 17 years experience as an executive in start-up companies. Mr. Mayse has a variety of experience spanning communications, internet, fortune 500 contracting, and R & D. Recognized as a leader in the implementation of broadband wireless platforms and their seamless interconnection with metro fiber using Ethernet based architecture. He has direct operating experience in Corporate development, engineering/ network design, sales/ marketing, and customer service implementation.

John Mayse is a graduate of the University of Washington. He is the founder, and driving force behind US Wirefree's entry into the broadband communications industry.

Jack Piippo
Vice President

Jack Piippo had already built and profited from a long distance company when he joined the U. S. Wirefree corporate management team. Mr. Piippo has strong management experience in start-up opertions including carrier interop agreements, regulating enviornment, switches, and sales.

Pippo Co-founded and successfully operated Touch America Incorporated, growing the long distance provider to many millions in annual revenue, and making Touch America Incorporated the first successful telecommunications long distance company beginning in Montana. Pippo had the foresight to install his own switches so Touch America could provide switched long distance service to its own network of cities. Touch America was sold in 1990 to Montana Power and now represents a core holding for MP generating over $400 million in annual revenue.

Jim Mains
Technical Operations Manager- Puget Sound Region

When Jim Mains joined the U. S. Wirefree corporate management team he brought with him a proven track record of reducing costs and improving quality while maintaining good customer service and employee morale. He was a Facilities Manager for AT&T Broadband in the Puget Sound Region.

His background includes:

~ Literally growing up with the Tacoma cable system from its infancy and construction as Cable TV of Puget Sound (a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Tribune Company) through acquisition as Viacom, then TCI Cable and finally AT&T Broadband as we know it today.

~ Managing more than 100 personnel involved in serving more than 180,000 customers as the Technical Operations Manager for Viacom.

~ Managing more than $500 million in assets and an annual operating budget of $10 million as he moved into asset management and procurement for both TCI and then AT&T when it acquired TCI Cable.

In addition to a technical venture consultancy in Seattle, Teri has background as a consult, network analyst, and software engineer for companies ranging from start-up to Fortune 150. BA from University of Washington, and Master of Software Engineering.


Rick Van Ness

Rick works with high tech entrepreneurs and has 26 years of experience at Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies where he helped "intrapreneurs" convert exciting ideas into business proposals. BSEE from Cornell University and MBA from New York University.
